The older 65 years of the region have shown to be in top form in the V Jornada Olimpics held in El Poble Nou de Benitatxell. The olympics of the elderly gathered a total of 400 participants in a great party of physical activity and healthy environment.
People from El Verger, Els Poblets, Gata, Pedreguer, Xàbia, Pego, Dénia, Ondara, Benissa and the local team of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell participated in the event. The Councilor for Sports, Toni Colomer, handed out the trophies.
The event, organized by the municipality poblero, had 36 support monitors, an ambulance, Civil Protection, Local Police and pool staff. "I would like to congratulate all the participants as well as Adrián Pastor and Víctor Abia for the help in the organization of this event, which fortunately has gone perfectly and without having to regret any incident" noted the sports councilor.
