New technologies arrive at Creama Xàbia language courses

04 December 2020 - 11: 52

A total of 20 students have started this week the English courses offered free of charge by the Local Development Agency of Creama Xàbia in collaboration with native volunteers. This year, due to the extraordinary conditions of COVID-19, the training migrates to virtual and has been programmed from the zoom platform.

The proposal was raised by the professors themselves and has been received with great enthusiasm, since it allows us to continue with an altruistic training work that has been carried out since 2011.

From Creama they remember that the volunteer teaching staff is made up of foreign retirees who have their residence in Xàbia and who want to contribute their bit by helping unemployed people in the population to improve their language skills, so important in our region, and thus facilitate their labor insertion.

In this sense, the councilor of Creama Xàbia, Marta Bañuls, has valued the commitment that these residents have with the unemployed population of Xàbia and has highlighted that each of them collaborates by contributing their leisure time to carry out this project.

In this call for courses, two levels of English have been launched: basic and intermediate level. The characteristics of the courses are the same as in the previous calls except for the duration that will be 80 hours instead of 100.
