Last Saturday the comxicotetion season began with the XX Artistic Gymnastics Tournament organized by the Elche Gymnastics Club. Nearly 200 gymnasts traveled there, including a large group of gymnasts from the Club Deportivo Montgó Xàbia.
The sports day, which paid tribute to Esperanza Lag, took place in the Pavilion that bears the same name and is located in the Sports City.
The xabieras athletes were very happy and satisfied with the results obtained, since there were seven podiums achieved in different categories:
Base 2: Four gymnasts participated with these results:
- Lilly: 3rd in parallel

Base 3: Two gymnasts participated.

Base 4: Six gymnasts participated, two of them getting a medal.

- Ruby: 3rd in vault and 3rd in beam

- Paula: 3rd on floor
Base 5: 5 gymnasts participated and one of them was proclaimed champion.

- Star: 2nd in parallel bars, 2nd in beam, 3rd in floor. Overall Champion is proclaimed
