The coves of Xàbia will have fire hydrants to fight the fire if necessary

May 13 from 2022 - 11: 59

The municipal water company of Xàbia, Amjasa, has installed hydrants in the coves granadella and Portixol to improve the ability to respond to a fire. It is one of the actions that marked the recently approved self-protection plans of both coves, pioneering documents that set the protocols to act in an emergency.

Both coves are in areas surrounded by forest mass and in recent years the Town hall It has been taking steps to improve its security, such as regulating access to vehicles and limiting parking areas.

These fire hydrants are incorporated into the municipal network, a system prepared to supply an adequate flow to firefighters in the event of a fire. In this sense, from Amjasa they are constantly renewing the hooking points for which they have the collaboration of both the Provincial Consortium and the local Civil Protection group when it comes to reviewing and detecting any defective point.

This year, taking advantage of the works to improve the pipe network, more than 50 column hydrants (more prone to problems due to being exposed) have been replaced by new manhole points (underground).
The water company has this entire system registered in a computer application that it has made available to firefighters. Xàbia also has other municipal extinguishing resources, such as the large sideinfo sprinklers that the Consistory acquired to be able to make defense lines taking advantage of the available water points and protect especially sensitive areas.

In the coves? In the coves surrounded by the sea?

How's it going in the mountains? Waiting for the next heat wave for another green area to catch fire, get smart? Look, with all that it has rained, with all the green that it is, and the natural park is not even remotely as it was, just as Montgó is not as it was in the early 80s, no matter how much moss covers it.

You are immoral, rulers (forgive the redundancy).

Let's hope they don't park or camp on it...
