Xàbia neighbors have an appointment with solidarity today. The local assembly Red Cross Xàbia will collect food for serving the neediest families in the municipality.
Collection points where residents can go to leave the staples are installed at the doors of supermarkets in the town. all kinds of food are needed although people affect supply basic and infant feeding products.
Support for the Ecuadorian people
In the wake of the terrible earthquake that has rocked Ecuador this week, a group of Ecuadorians living in Xàbia has been launched to collect basic necessities to send to your country. This solidarity campaign will be during the day and lasts until morning.
Items requested are diapers for both children and adults, wipes, nonperishable food, batteries, bandages, gauze, alcohol. ibuprufeno medications such as oral rehydration salts, paracetamol and vitamins are also needed.
The following collection points have been established; Plaza Marina Alta, next to Correos, Jaime I, in front of the Masymas supermarket and in Antigua tourist office from Arenal. The hours are from 9 a.m. to 17 p.m.
The Red Cross will be responsible for centralizing all products collected for later sent to Ecuador.
