Saturday August 2 will open the famous International Jazz Festival Xàbia. This year the first of his concerts, that of Sant Andreu Jazz Band, has created great excitement in the area. It is the youngest jazz band in Europe that will bring a lively and high-quality repertoire that will go over the different eras of Dixieland, New Orleans, Swing, Bebop, Funky and Jazz Vocal.
A large group of dancers from Alicante and Valencia specializes in swing lindy hop and have shown interest in attending the concert to offer the public their dances. Therefore, the Spirit of Saint Louis-Alicante Lindy Hop academies will have a reserved space in the Plaza de la Constitution to liven up the concert by the Sant Andreu Jazz Band starting at 22: 30 h.
The festival will continue on Sunday, August 3 with the voice of Carmen Souza, a Portuguese singer with Cape Verdean roots who will star in her recital on stage at 22:30 p.m. Xàbia Jazz will close on Monday, August 4, by the American trumpeter Christian Scott, an artist influenced by Bob Dylan, Jimmi Hendrix and Miles Davis. The tickets for the festival are kept at 15 euros each day (40 euros the voucher) and can be purchased on the instant ticket website, at the tourism offices de Xàbia or at the ticket offices of the Plaza de la Constitución that will open the same day of the concerts at 21:00 p.m.
