On Thursday, the mayor of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell, Miguel Ángel García, and the Councilor for Tourism, Víctor Bisquert, received a visit from the coordinator of the Network Tourist info in the province of Alicante, Angel Murcia. In a tour of the main attractions of the municipality, they have stopped both in the urban center and in the Moraig cove.
In the old town they have visited the church and its viewpoint, with beautiful views of the vineyard fields and the coastline. Subsequently, they have inspected the vicinity of the municipal building on Capelletes Street, which, thanks to the program 'Reconstruïm Pobles', which will provide a financing of 500.000 euros, may be rehabilitated to house the new Tourist Info of the municipality on the ground floor, among other facilities.
The coordinator of the Red Tourist Info has shown great interest in the project, which with this new location and with a large space, will mean a paradigm shift in tourist care in the town and will function as a link between the urban center and the coastal area. The intention is to build a modern tourist office with the latest technological innovations to attract tourists not only to the coves and beaches, but also to the urban area.
In addition, Ángel Murcia has also visited the Moraig cove and the El Puig de la Llorença Tourist Information Point located in the parking and access area, which next summer will improve its facilities to offer a better service to the users of the coves.
Murcia has been able to check the new reserve operation through the App 'ParkE' and the security that this capacity control of 400 people brings to the beach, where safety distances are being perfectly complied with.
