The local Police of Xàbia vindicates itself to dignify its profession

Xàbia local police officers, before the denunciation of his labor situation a few weeks ago and after not obtaining concrete solutions or proposals from the administration, they have initiated claims.

First, since Thursday, they wear a green bow on their uniform shield expressing their discontent. Agents deny the figures published in the media concerning the current workforce and report that there are only about 4 or 5 agents on the street in turn, «The figures are what they are. We are a staff formed by 54 agents spread over two weeks and divided into three shifts each week, if at this number we subtract the agents in office and at checkpoint, there are barely four left in the street, so it is impossible to reach everything ».

In addition, this situation is aggravated since the Xàbia workforce continues to lose troops due to the massive departure of police towards other populations that have better working conditions.

Agents point to this wording that their manifestation stance is "due to the insistent refusals that we found from the Town hall, and because we do not see that there is political will to help us. All are unfavorable reports from the Personnel and Human Resources department.

With regards to recently announced reform of the RPT (List of Jobs), «This will not be valid for three or four years, so it does not solve our situation in the short term», say the agents.

The police also mention the public job offer claiming that "The call for 2018 has already been lost due to the delay in its publication by the same departments of the City Council."

The agents stress that their claims will continue «So that as there was a raise in salaries in the City Council to dignify the policy that also dignifies the employment situation of the local police».
