La mayor of Culture and education, Empar Bolufer, has presented the events that will be held to commemorate October 9, the day of the Valencian Community. As the mayor has stated the acts "will be made according to a restricted budget"and will begin today at 15: 15 h. with didactic auditions for schoolchildren under the name" Programmatic music "by JOMA (Jove Orquestra de la Marina Alta), an act that will be repeated on October 3.
The events will follow the October 4 with the celebration of a conference in the house of culture at 20: 00 h. by the professor of Civil Law of the University of Valencia, MªDolores Mas Badia, on "The Valencian matrimonial economic regime law". The inauguration of the library is part of the 9 commemorative events of October and 8 will be celebrated at 19: 00 h. Bolufer has affirmed that the person of the Generalitat that will attend is still to be confirmed and assures that this library is inaugurated "after a series of technical problems". Also this day at the 20: 00 h. a concert for the Romàntica del Saladar will also take place in the house of culture.
On the day of the Valencian Community, the constitutional act will be held at 11:30 a.m. for which the 9 d'Octubre Vila de Xàbia awards will be released in its 18th edition. The solidarity award will go to the Intersociedad de Vecinos Hispanófilos for its collaboration in social and solidarity causes in addition to its collaboration in the department of social services of the Town hall. On the other hand, the prize for civic values will go to Francisco Reus Boyd-Swan, PhD in Philology and professor at a school, institute and UNED in Dénia, in addition to these tasks are added those of his socio-cultural work and his research in language and literature. The celebration of the awards ceremony will be accompanied by a popular Valencian "dansà" along the entire Calle Mayor organized by the Grup Portitxol.
The activities commemorating the Valencian Community day will end on 11 at 22: 00 h. with a concert by the Artistic Musical Center of Xàbia with the Musical Association El Verger.
