The President of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig, has announced that the Department of Universal Health and Public Health will present, on Monday, all the documentation to the Ministry of Health to request the passage of the entire Valencian Community to phase 3 starting next September 15 June with mobility between the three provinces, taking into account the positive evolution of all health indicators.
The president of the Generalitat has made these statements after the meeting held with the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, and the rest of the presidents and the presidents of the autonomous communities to address the evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic and measures for de-escalation.
The president has also specified that this Tuesday there will be a deliberative meeting of the Consell in which the de-escalation process will be addressed and the measures that will be put in place from the passage to phase 3, in which the authority is already delegated to the Autonomous communities, and it has advanced that one of them will be the consideration of the whole of the Valencian Community as a territorial unit, so movements between the three provinces will be authorized as of June 15.

The President stressed that this week has been "decisive" in the evolution of the pandemic in the Valencian Community, since the presence of SARS-CoV-2 goes "clearly backwards", as evidenced by the fact that no death had to be mourned for five days, "an unprecedented circumstance in 3 months".
Furthermore, as stated, in 470 Valencian municipalities, 87% of the total, no positive case has been registered in two weeks; the basic reproduction rate, which indicates secondary infections by each infected person, is stable at around 0,7, and only 0,9% of PCR tests are positive.
On the other hand, the study that analyzes the presence of the virus in wastewater shows that the coronavirus has practically disappeared and the forecast is that, if everything continues like this, during the next week "it will be undetectable". Furthermore, the new seroprevalence study shows that the number of infections in the Valencian Community has been less than half that of the Spanish average.
In relation to these indicators, he also underlined that the hospital situation has changed in a way "radical", since there are currently 140 people hospitalized for COVID-19 (there were up to 2.200) and, of these, 17 are in ICUs, a third less than a week ago.
"It will be the last section of the de-escalation, and we will do it with the maximum sanitary guarantees, without having run faster than we should, also giving an image of security, rigor and maximum prudence, because we are convinced of one thing : Being prudent now is a guarantee of a faster and more robust economic recovery ", has defended.
