The Alta Altaria Marina Federation is a body that brings together ten associations in the region that work from different perspectives for the integration of people with physical, mental, minor disabilities or with hyperactivity, in the management of soup kitchens, collection of clothes or support for the elderly. Its main asset is volunteering, to those who are trained to help society in a useful and positive way.
The councilor of Servicios Sociales Xàbia, Tere Bisquert, presented yesterday to this federation and its coordinator, Juanjo Sala, with which from now on it will collaborate in the collection of plastic caps that are then sold to finance medical or orthopedic aids for, above all, children.
This campaign, which is already being carried out in Dénia, will be coordinated from the Social Center of Xàbia (Rafael Echague Street). From here, volunteers from both Xàbia and the other towns where the campaign has been launched, will take the plastics to Dénia eco-park and from there Urbaser, a collaborating company, will transfer them to Segària Plàstics, an Ondara company where will buy to reuse them.
