The Spanish Basketball Federation and one of the main sponsors of the World Cup being held this year in our country have launched the campaign "Citizen 0'0 Tour" circuit 5.200 kilometers throughout the country in which a ball basketball launched by volunteers runs as an Olympic torch the Spanish geography.
The intention is to convey the passion for basketball, sport and healthy living as well as promote the world championship.
Xàbia is one of the locations chosen to be part of this tour, which arrives this Sunday at the villa. The tour will begin at 12 hours in the Plaza of the Constitution and through pedestrian areas such as sidewalks or bike path (so no traffic will be altered), the ball will come to ride tennis David Ferrer about 14 hours.
The ball was launched last July 23 in Madrid, being the first relievers brothers Pau and Marc Gasol. In recent days has gone through Burgos, Bilbao, Zaragoza, Barcelona and Valencia.
The end of the tour will be in Granada the 30 August, coinciding with the start of the World Cup and the first game of the Spanish team in the city.
