After the pleasant experience lived in the last edition of the Tour of Spain, the organization of this sporting event has opted to repeat goal in Cumbre del Sol El Poble Nou de Benitatxell.
Thursday was the presentation of the edition 72ª Tour of Spain in the Municipal Palace of Congresses of Madrid. One by one the stages were broken down. The one that arrives in our region is the ninth, which will leave on Sunday, August 27, from Orihuela. The cyclists will have to cover 176,3 km to reach the top of the top del Sol. It is one of the toughest and most intense tracks of this edition, especially due to its short but explosive final ascent.
The towns of Torrevieja, Guardamar del Segura, Santa Pola, El Altet (Elche), Alicante, San Juan de Alicante, El Campello, Villajoyosa, Benidorm, Altea, Calpe, Teulada-Moraira, El Poble Nou de Benitachell, Gata de Gorgos and Javea will also become the stage for this epic journey which will run parallel to the coast of Alicante, with the Mediterranean sea as a companion of emergency.
