Falling part of a palm tree causes damage to a vehicle

The storm of rain and wind together with the plague of weevil caused a damage yesterday in a vehicle parked in the area of ​​the Arenal Beach. Around noon on Saturday, part of a palm tree fell on a high-end car, causing damage to the entire top and interior, as well as the moon.

As indicated by relatives of the owner of the affected vehicle, "The fallen piece of palm tree was hollow inside which indicates that it is affected by the weevil." This fact, together with the rain that moistened the palm tree, made it weaken and fall, in the face of a stronger gust of wind, on the parked car.

Fortunately, only the damage caused to the vehicle has to be regretted and there have been no injuries.
