El Club Náutico Jávea This weekend hosts the first meeting for Optimist C sailors that he has organized together with the clubs of Oliva, Dénia and Gandía. A total of thirty young sailors will participate.
These meetings aim to motivate the youngest sailors of the sailing schools who have just started in the optimist and are the basis of the future champions. For this reason, in these regattas the important thing is not to win but to learn to become familiar with professional regattas and that young people feel that they are the same as their class B and A classmates. These meet to compete at least once a month in the tests organized by the Federation.
Test schedule
The first race will be held in the waters of Xàbia Bay this weekend, the 16 in December will be in Dénia with the organization of the Dénia Royal Yacht Club, and the 27 in January the tests will be played in the Real Club Náutico Gandía. The date on which the tests will be made in Oliva is not yet confirmed.
It is in the C category where the sailors start and the clubs aware of this have made this bet with the youngest, as part of the sports side they have since they were born.
The Jávea Nautical Club school has twelve young sailors in this category.
