Javier Navarro with his boat 'Archer' was the winner of the 'Sir Thomas Lipton Trophy'

The 45 Candle Week of the Club Náutico Jávea ended the dispute of two trophies, on the one hand the Sir Thomas Lipton Trophy, and on the other hand Comodoro Trophy Federico Gimeno.

In the first of them, the great winner was the shipowner, Javier Navarro who with his boat Archer it was the best. The second place went to Miguel Marqués, on board the Jerónimo 2. The third place went to Ignacio Carbonell who skippered the boat Streak.

In this test 50 were the participants who filled the Bay of Xàbia with candles both on Friday and Saturday.

Trophy Delivery

On Saturday night, the trophy ceremony was held, with the participation of the president of the Jávea Nautical Club, Arturo Miquel, the vice president, Roberto Simó, the commodore, Ignacio Carbonell, the member of social activities, Marta Camps, and the vocal candle, Javier Poole.

Miquel presented the Sir Thomas Lipton Trophy to the owners of the boats Archer (Javier Navarro) and Ardora 3 (Antonio Gadea) Also to the winners of the Comodoro trophy in classes A, B and C, as well as the veterans trophy and the motorboat event, the first three received a detail of the club.

In addition, the club recognized the sporting successes achieved during this year by Rafa Andarias (who won the Spanish Championship in 2.4mR), Julia Miñana, Silvia Sebastiá (champions of youth Spain in 420), Daniel Maestre (who picked up his brother Sergio for his sport fishing championship) and Julián Crespo (Spanish champion of motorboat regularity). Likewise Carlos Fernández Martos was appointed owner of this 2018.
