Jávea closes August 87% with hotel occupancy

The tourism department of Town hall de Jávea has made a balance and the figures have given very good results for the municipality. The month of August has closed with 87% hotel occupancy, three points above the 84,8% in the same month of last year 2012. This means that of the 1.095 hotel beds in the town, all have been covered. minus 13%.

But August has not been the only month that has passed since the July 2012 ended with a real occupation of 73% versus 69 2012% in July. The occupancy rate campsites which have seats 1.459, stays in August, more or less like the same month last year, 75,7% occupancy. Although the July in this sector suffered a sharp decline, with 57,6% versus 62 2012% in July.

It still remains to take stock of tourist rentals, which are one of the main indicators of real summer occupancy. The figures for these tourist rentals fluctuated in 2012 between 70% in July and 95% in August. On the other hand we have figures of the Tourism offices which indicate that during the months of July and August, 12.352 groups of visitors have been attended, of which 5.599 have been in July and 7.894 in the month of August. This total, although slightly, has also exceeded that of 2012, when 12.116 tourist groups went to request information from these offices. In addition, the more than 17.000 requests for information have been about the resources and areas that can be visited in the municipality (beaches, coves, viewpoints, routes...).

As for the origin of tourists, the 55,2% are international users of tourism offices, while an 44,8% are of Spanish origin, especially from the Valencian Community and Madrid, followed by the Basque Country, Catalonia or Andalusia. As for foreigners, the French (33,5%) are the ones who visit us most followed by the English (30,3%).
