Jávea athlete, Ignacio Cardona was the winner of the M3 category of the International Rosetta Skyrace 2014, a mountain race that was held in Italy.
The tough race had good weather which helped in part to the participants to 270 21 kilometers recorriesen the test. This mountain race has a positive slope of 1.550 meters and the same descent. The athletes had to climb higher as the Rosetta top point located 2.140 meters.
The Llebeig Athletics Club athlete Xábia, crossed the finish line in sixth place overall, being the first of the veteran athletes, M3 classification. His total time was 2: 14: 65.
The race winner was Romanian, Zinca Ionot who made a mark 1: 58: 38. The second place went to the Italian Daniel Antonioli with a time of 2: 02: 13. Third on the podium was Romanian, Istuan Szaboles with a time of 2: 03: 88.
The hardness of the route is demonstrated by data dropouts because of 270 who took the exit, reached the finish line a total of 254.
This race is well known in Italy as it is a test that fulfilled its eighth edition. It has a supportive nature, as the funds raised are intended for the fight against cancer. The winners in each category received as a trophy a typical local cheese large.
