Jávea athlete, Ignacio Cardona was second in the XII edition of the stairs rise Gran Hotel Bali 2015. A test that is framed in the World Circuit Career Towerrunning Vertical Wolrd Association.
Cardona again demonstrated his potential in this type of tests, as he fought against the clock and against the 924 steps that he had to climb until he reached the 52 floor, with a vertical drop of 200 meters.
He could not beat time winner, Slovak, Tomas Celko, big favorite who was 4 30 minutes and seconds. Cardona made 12 seconds more than the winner. The third place went to the Belgian, Omar Bekkali which came with 2 seconds Cardona.
Took part in the test 150 runners among the favorites were taken out in groups of three, one minute intervals. Elite athletes did considered individually against the clock every minute. It must mean that the winner of this edition managed to reduce the mark in the past invested, Ángel Llorens, in three seconds.
Not only was Ignacio Cardona the representative of Jávea, since in this edition two more athletes from the Llebeig Athletics Club debuted, Toni Soler which ended in 15 since the test with a brand 5 25 minutes and seconds and the young Nizar Lakhlifi that made the twentieth fastest time with a record of 5 34 minutes and seconds.
Two great results in some participants who were debutants and who are not used to perform this type of tests.
