The 2021 social employment program, included in the plan Recover Xàbia, is endowed with 1.090.000 euros. Offer 44 positions (7 officers of works, public roads and forest gardening, 21 laborers of various tasks, 9 cleaning workers and 7 janitors) that will be dedicated to forest fire prevention work, cleaning of green areas and ravines, as well as tasks maintenance and concierge in municipal buildings.
The call is part of the municipal actions in the face of the social emergency caused by COVID-19 and complements the one that is managed day by day in the social services, with the processing of emergency aid to families without income or in precarious conditions.
With this employment plan, whose selection criteria among the applicants are social, the City Council, in addition to giving economic security to people who are going through a bad time at work, increases their self-esteem, their possibilities of later inserting themselves in the labor market and them gives the opportunity to improve the image and services of their own municipality with their work.

The requirements to apply for one of the jobs are to be registered in the public employment service for at least 1 month, not to be receiving unemployment benefits or subsidies and to be Spanish or of any nationality with free movement of workers.
They will score as merits the time in unemployment, being part of a beneficiary family unit of the emergency aid of Social Services, having the title of a large family, that the cohabiting family is also unemployed, having a mortgage or paying a rent in Xàbia, having a single-parent family or a dependent relative. Also have experience in similar positions.
