Last February the drafting project of the covered municipal pool was awarded to the company Raízde3 SL. After about three months since the award, the processing deadlines are being met correctly, so that in mid June the implementation project will be presented.
This last document is the final step so that Xàbia can, at last, tender the work of this demanded infrastructure. For now, the basic and activity project has been presented and the execution project is being drafted. Once completed and revised, it will be fully submitted for approval and thus begin the procedures to be able to carry out its construction.
The swimming pool
The swimming pool is projected on a contiguous plot adjacent to the sports pavilion (between the streets M.Bordes Valls, Joan Fuster and VA Estellés), and follows a program of needs and design criteria based on modernity, sustainability, versatility, functionality , easy to maintain and accessible.
The complex is set up with two pool glasses and an activity room aimed at gymnastics and physical maintenance. The main pool (of 25 meters long by 16'7 of width) will be of polyvalent character and the secondary one (of 16'70 by 10 meters) dedicated to teaching complementary activities or of familiarization to the swimming, as much for children as for adults, and especially for rehabilitative swimming. It is estimated that the project will be around the 3 million euros.
Well apparently the deadline has expired and we are still the same, when do the politicians of the moment think about getting their batteries? Will the construction of the municipal swimming pool in Jávea be carried out one day? I think it's amazing what happens here … We'll see if they finally do something.
