Beaches municipal department has decided to extend until September 15 bathroom service which is provided free of charge in Arenal Beach.
The forecast of good weather with the good reception of this service attendance makes the consistory extend the initial contract period, scheduled to end on August 30.
People with disabilities thanks to this service can bathe at the point of care have three amphibious chairs that are served by two lifeguards. The treatment of the disabled receive from them is exquisite. They are about people who are amply prepared to do the job as they are trained in advanced first aid, water rescue and basic training in social intervention. We also have the support of Red Cross volunteers.
Those interested in enjoying this support can apply by phone at the local headquarters of the Red Cross (965791961) and will be collected in their own homes by volunteers with a vehicle adapted, they carry them to the beach to enjoy a swim and then return to accompany home.
Last year, they benefited from this service a total of 88 users, of which a 25% are residents of Xàbia and visitors 75%, and there were more than 400 assists.
