El Portal de la Marina - Xabia's Bike attended the Spanish BTT Championships in the XCO and XCE modalities held in Valladolid, with six representatives. Alicia Margalejo, Tomás Miralles y Ade Moll they participated representing the selection of the Valencian Community; while Noemí GuillemJuanjo Femenía and Moll Saor They defended the team colors.
On the first day of comxicotetion, the second edition of the Spanish Eliminator Championship (XCE) took place. On a completely urban circuit, the riders made an individual time trial, classifying the 32 best times, to go on to the elimination rounds of four riders where the two best passed round.
Juanjo Femenía and Saoro Moll took the start, although only the latter went to the playoffs. Saoro Moll was able to overcome the first round of eighth finals, entering the second goal. In the quarterfinals he was eliminated after crossing the third goal in a hurried sprint. Finally Saoro Moll was classified 10º in the Spanish Eliminator Championship.
BTT-XCO Championship
On the second day of comxicotetion the different races were held according to categories of the national BTT-XCO. Alicia Margalejo qualified in 14th position and Noemí Guillem, who was running her first Spanish championship of this modality, was 17th. The two proved to be true warriors.
In Junior category, Tomás Miralles was struggling to sneak into the precious top10 but a small chain enganchón he lost some positions, crossing the finish line in 16º position. Good results for this rider in his first year in this category.
In the showpiece event, they attended by world champion José Hermida 2010, along with professionals Carlos Coloma, Sergio Mantecón and David Valero, among others. 6 around waiting for them all and Moll brothers started from second row thanks to the UCI points scored throughout the season.
Adelino Moll made a good start and placed inside the top15. During the first 3 laps he risked his rhythm to get into the top 10, but the tough circuit took its toll and he finally had to settle for 12th.
Saor Moll had to overcome several falls and snags at the start and he had to climb with heavy traffic, accusing the end of the race the effort. did not have his best day but managed to finish 27º. Juanjo Femenía knew pull caste and finish the 42º in his debut as an elite in a test of this level.
