The Poble Nou de Benitatxell has organized, for the 9 day of March, its I Cursa de la Dona solidarity for equality and to make visible the woman whose benefits will go to APROSDECO (Asociación Pro Deficiente Psíquicos de Dénia and Marina Alta District).
The mayor of Equality and Gender and Diversity Policies, Maite Roldán, stressed that "The Poble Nou de Benitatxell needed this charity race, an event that combines sport with other challenges such as promoting union and complicity among women and supporting associations that carry out important social work in the region" .
People interested in participating can register until March 1, contributing the amount of €3 through wwww.somesport.com or in person on February 20 and 27 at the Department of Servicios Sociales from El Poble Nou de Benitatxell, on Carrer Mercat 1.
The first 300 registered women will receive a free shirt. The numbers will be collected on the same day 9 16: 00 to 16: 45 hours on Mercat street. The race or walk will start at 17: 00 hours, also on Calle Mercat. The
runners must complete a course of 4,14 kilometers. However, from the organization have wanted to make clear that the journey can be done walking, and above all, enjoying the company and the urban landscape of the
municipality. For walkers, the route will be 2,5 Kilometers in a flat circuit.
Although it is non-comxicotetive, the organization has provided gifts for the first 5 to cross the finish line and the 5 first local runners. Maite Roldán wanted to thank the involvement of the Club Multiesport Benitatxell in this pioneering activity in El Poble Nou de Benitatxell, and in addition to being an excuse to spend a healthy day, it is a clear vindication of women as an axis and collective united and active in the face of society's challenges.
