The Poble Nou de Benitatxell advances in the rehabilitation of the Capelletes building

Last Thursday, in the plenary session held at the Town hall of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell electronically, new steps were taken to advance in the rehabilitation project of the Capelletes building thanks to the aid plan of the Ministry of Housing and Bioclimatic Architecture 'Rebuild Pobles'.

The government team approved to empower the mayor to sign the collaboration agreement for the 2021 annuity between the City Council and the Ministry, which will provide a budget of 200.000 euros for their adaptation as offices for administrative use and a new Tourist info.

The next step will already be the tender for the project, scheduled for this year. The rest of the aid, 300.000 euros, will be granted in 2022.

A bank of agricultural land

Finally, the plenary session approved a new regulatory ordinance for the creation of an agricultural land bank. This tool seeks to be a link between the owners of rural plots with an agrarian vocation in the municipality and possible farmers who want to make use of them. The objective is to promote the conservation of these lands and mitigate the abandonment of the fields.
