El Javea Town Hall has approved the contract for the installation of an outdoor gym in Parque Montaner. The project goes out to tender for 21.598,50 euros (VAT included) and a maximum execution period of 30 days.
The works included are the clearing and cleaning of the land, its leveling and the installation of a concrete base where a vertical press weight training machine will be installed, another one for isolateral lats weight training, another one for shoulder and another one for leg extension.
There will also be a rowing machine and an exercise bench for carrying out multiple outdoor sports exercises based on Crossfit and Street Workout training exercises.
This outdoor installation is part of the program of the Department of Sports that runs Alberto Tur to promote healthy outdoor leisure and open spaces. It will complement the calisthenics area already underway in Carrer Vall del Pop-Vorariu and the bio-healthy routes included in Xàbia Camina.
It has been planned in the lowest park of the Montaner park in the area closest to the Conservatory, thus rounding off the offer of this space in which there is already a children's playground, a dog area and the Riurau d'Arnauda which has an important cultural use. and where it is also planned to carry out a work to promote its social use.

The parks in Jávea are something very difficult for this council, it is something like doing something close to the impossible.
