El Municipal Mercat de Xàbia It has improved its interior image with the installation of new light points thanks to a grant from the Alicante Provincial Council and an investment from the Town hall, being 5000 euros the contribution of public administration and 4.352 euros from the consistory.
The new lighting system was installed last week, replacing the indirect light projectors with new ones with LED technology, as well as the installation of new points of light in the steps of the stops.
As indicated by the councilor of Mercat, Tere Bisquert, it is 22 LED projectors, which in addition to providing better lighting, will impact on more efficient consumption. For his part, the president of the Association of Sellers of the Mercat, Rafa Expósito, has expressed his satisfaction for this change "It brings a great improvement that was necessary."
New business proposals for the Mercat
Regarding the new bidding for the vacant positions of the Mercat, the mayor said that today, 7 November, has begun the process of awarding for the next 10 years. In total there have been six proposals from interested parties to open businesses in the Mercat that are now being evaluated both technically and economically by the Consistory.
Expósito has been satisfied with the number of new neighbors who want to start their business in the Mercat de Xàbia, "Since this way will give more dynamism to this place of shopping."
The mayor also commented that at the end of the month the result of the technical study that has been commissioned on this installation will be taken and, after evaluating its current situation, will serve to define the road map for its management and how it should be evolution to be viable and dynamic.
