The municipal Department of Culture Xàbia scheduled for this 2016 a series of concerts of orchestras. It is an ambitious bid to bring a new musical side to local audiences.
The performances, all by Valencian groups and with free access, will begin on Saturday, January 30, from 22:00 p.m. at the St. Bartholomew's Church with the Baroque orchestra La Battaglia.
This ensemble has Javier Carrau as director and concertmaster, and soprano Elia Casanova. The program consists of instrumental works by Vivaldi and Handel: The Concerto Grosso Opus 6 nº1 in G major. Concerto for Violin and Orchestra No. 4 in F minor "Winter" from The Four Seasons or the Sinfonia "Il Farnace".
And several arias from operas and oratorios as J are interleavedCésar ulio, The Messiah o Il Farnace of the same authors.
The cycle will have as a second appointment the concert of the Orquestra del Conservatori de Castelló, scheduled for Friday, February 26 at 22:00 p.m. at Loreto church. The third on March 18, at 22:00 p.m. in the church of San Bartolomé, in charge of the Xàbia Conservatory Orchestra.
Close this program, made by the Department that directs Quico Moragues, a great concert by the Jove Orquestra de la Generalitat Valenciana this summer. It will be on Friday, July 29 in the plaza of the Church.
