The story 'The secret of the pansa' will be presented at the 'Fira del Llibre' in València

The journalist and writer of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell, Empar Ferrer, will present her latest book, The secret of the pansa, next Wednesday, 1 of May, to the 11: 00 hours, in the Fira del Llibre de València. It will be in the Espai Autors II.

The story, edited by El Bullent y el Town hall of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell and illustrated by Cristina Durán pays homage to l'escaldà of the pass, already declared BIC (Property of Intangible Cultural Interest). The book makes discover the children and adolescents the agricultural past of the Marina Alta.

The trip begins in Manchester and arrives at the Marina Alta, by the hand of a girl named Diana, who arrives at the time of the raisin, to the ritual of the "Escaldà", to the transfer of the port of Dénia, to the Mediterranean Sea ...

Through the protagonist, the reader discovers the agricultural miracle, the hard work of the grape, the fascination of the landscape of the Marina Alta and Batiste, the soul mate that the protagonist finds far away in time, not in life.

Together they will visit the most emblematic places of the splendor of the raisin: Riuraus, dry stone margins (now declared a World Heritage Site), the "Magatzem dels Anglesos" and the port of Dénia, the figurehead of the Pepe Tono pailebote pasero (currently is in the Soler Blasco Museum de Xàbia), the stately home of the Sultana de Xàbia and the Church of Poble Nou de Benitatxell.

The writer and journalist Empar Ferrer has built a story in which feelings guide the journey of the protagonists. Diana will discover the secret of the pass and with it the way to overcome a great loss and reunite with her ancestors.
