The xabienc Paco Cholbi and Carlos Arbat raise the statuette of their literary prize for 'El monstre Petorro'

Smiles and joy were experienced last night by the teacher and resident of Xàbia, Paco Cholbi, winner of the Premis Literaris Ciutat d'Alzira in the il.lustrat album category with the story of The monster Petorro. Cholbi collected, during the event celebrating the 35th edition, the statuette designed by Manuel Boix together with the illustrator of the story Carles Arbat. The gala took place in the Rex Natura Room in Alzira where the names of the winners of the eight modalities were also announced.

The monster Petorro laughter is guaranteed. The story is about how little a monster has at being scary, but instead, he is the best at causing laughter with his involuntary farts.

Paco Cholbi, during the speeches, pointed out that "now The monster Petorro "You must rest and gain strength because one day you will visit our homes to fill them with love and joy." Cholbi also wished a long life to the Ciutat d'Alzira Literary Awards and a long life to Monstre Petorro.

It should be noted that in total, in 2023, 184 works were submitted to the Literary Contest, of which 19 works were eligible for the Enric Solbes International Prize for Album Il.lustrat and only one was the one that won the prize, that of Paco Cholbi and Carles Arbat with The monster Petorro.
