El Club Náutico Jávea has prepared for this Saturday, April 1, a conference by the Emeritus Professor of the University of Seville Manuel Romero Tallafigo that will deal with the history of intercontinental navigation. It will be from 19:30 p.m.
Professor Romero Tallafigo is a Doctor of History from the University of Seville, during the years 1974 to 1986 he worked as a faculty member of the Spanish Archivists Corps in the General Archive of the Indies in Seville. And he has carried out various research works that focus on the relations between Andalusia and America in the XNUMXth-XNUMXth centuries and on the seal and registry of the Indies, among others.
During his visit to the Jávea Yacht Club, the emeritus professor will illustrate the talk "From Christopher Columbus to the first round the world of Magellan and Elcano" and will be the luxury godfather of the inauguration of the Library
Specializing in marine and navigation themes, one of its first books includes a commemorative edition of Magellan's Around the World donated by Fernando Maestre.
This conference is part of the cultural program organized by the Board of Directors of the Jávea Yacht Club throughout the year and which opens during the month of April.
