El Club Náutico Jávea It is to achieve the title of champion of Spain Optimist by defeating in the final to Real Club Nautico de Gran Canaria in the waters of the Bay of Cadiz.
A hotly contested race where sailors xabieros demonstrated the high quality they treasure. They had a poor start as they lost the first two games against the Canaries. A final which was played best of five. This meant that after losing the first two points at stake, there was room for another loss.
The Javiense Nautico team won the rest of the races, declaring the championship on their side. After an intense week of tests the team the title traveled to Xabieras lands.
The formation of the Jávea Nautical Club was formed by Julia MiñanaLuis Aroca, Luis Simó, Carlos Sánchez and Adryu Sibra, coaching was Omar Martínez.
The final podium of the national Optimist was composed by the Club Náutico Jávea as champions Real Club Nautico Gran Canaria as second and third place was for the Real Club Sanxexo.
The trophies ceremony that took place in the multipurpose room of the Sports Technical Center of Bahía de Cádiz, was attended by the mayor of El Puerto de Santa María, David de la Encina, the mayor of sports, youth and parties, Rocío Luque , the territorial delegate of AECIO, Kiko Sánchez and members of the RCN., of El Puerto de Santa María, organizer of the championship with its president, Santiago Villagrán at the head.
