The XXV edition of the Interscholastic League, organized by the Nautical Club together with the Department of Sports of Xàbia, ends. This league aims to publicize the sailing sports that are practiced in the club and the bay of Xàbia.
On this occasion, 90 schoolchildren from Xàbia schools have participated: Arenal, Xàbia International College, Mediterrania, Graull, Waldorf and the Lady Elizabeth de Benitatxell.
Many of them will continue to approach the sea from now on in summer school. In addition, all participants received a medal as well as the Ecomar Foundation logbook, a tool for the training of children in the different environmental education programs, a guide to know, enjoy and respect the sea through sports and healthy lifestyle.
The event was attended by the Mayor of Xàbia, José Chulvi, and the vice president of Club Náutico Jávea, Roberto Simó, as well as the sports director, Javier Momparler and the team of monitors of the Escuela de Vela responsible for the learning of schoolchildren.
Roberto Simó thanked the mayor for the presence and highlighted this year the XXV edition of the Interscholastic League has been held, with all the security measures, and stressed that "it is a way to strengthen ties with Xàbia. For his part, the mayor commented that through these activities the little ones "learn to navigate but also learn to respect the marine environment."
