From December 3 to 8, the Spanish Olympic and Base Artistic Gymnastics Championship was held in Pamplona.
El Club Deportivo Montgó-Xàbia has participated with 15 gymnasts. In male comxicotetion, the Base 1 team formed by Dani Bunn, Javi Soler and Hugo Martin competed, who managed to be runners-up in Spain. In addition, Hugo managed to be third in colt with bow and parallels and sixth in Spain, and Javi Soler was third in rings. Already on base 2, the team formed by Jordi Mata, Joan Buigues and David Huerta were 3 from Spain. On base 4, Adrián Larrosa competed, who managed to be runner-up in Spain on the ground, third in jumping, first on horseback and fifth overall.
Already in female, the club was represented by Laia Ivars in Base 1, the youngest of the team debuted in a national team and, although she did not get on the podium, her regularity in all devices must be emphasized. Already at base 2, Paula Martin was sixth in Spain and sisters Estrella and Maria Gámez managed to be champion and runner-up in Spain, respectively. In addition, Maria was third in parallel and jump and Estrella was champion on the ground. In Base 3, the largest category, with 143 girls, Valeria Romera, Ruby Kitchen, Liliana Penge and Lola Mathews participated. Liliana entered the top 15 and Lola was third on the ground and fourth in Spain overall.
From the club they want to congratulate the children and their coaches Marcos Martinez, Camilo Caceres and Rimma Kairulina and Alejandro Castañeyra, "who, although he is no longer part of the technical team, has accompanied the boys these days."
