In times of crisis help is little and it is gratifying to see as solidarity with the needy is booming more than ever. There are many actions throughout the year are carried out for food and money that are then donated to organizations such as Caritas or Red Cross.
On this occasion, sport and solidarity come together again, since the Athletics Club Llebeig de Xàbia has made a donation of food, sweets, not perishable. From the assembly of Red Cross Xàbia has been enormously grateful this contribution of food will be distributed among the 140 families experiencing a situation of economic hardship.
Service beaches
The volunteers of this assembly assigned to the beach surveillance service, will begin their service on the beaches of Arenal, La Grava and La granadella 15 from June. At the moment, it is in the Arenal where weekends are providing the service.
As of July 1, surveillance will be incorporated to beaches such as Portixol and Benissero. The service will last until August 30, although it will last until September 15 on the busiest beaches such as Granadella, Arenal and La Grava, as reflected in the agreement established by the Xàbia Red Cross with the town hall.
