The strong and intense rain has caused new incidences in Xàbia and traffic cuts. Before the decree of the emergency situation (red alert) by the AEMET, there have been new traffic cuts in the town as well as the eviction of El Naranjal campsite.
The roads that cross the bed of the river Gorgos, whose flow continues to grow although at the moment it has not overflowed, have been closed to traffic. Faced with this situation, the Red Cross has installed a shelter in the Multipurpose Room of Portal del Clot.
At 1 in the early morning the news was known that the river had overflowed to the height of the Pont Llavador.
