The City of Jávea starts the second phase of redevelopment Avenue Jaime I Customs

El Town hall de Jávea has resumed the redevelopment works on Avenida Jaime I in Aduanas del Mar. As the consistory already advanced in mid-December, the completion of this action would take place after the Christmas holidays so as not to hinder the commercial march and festival of the area during the holidays.

This is the second implementation phase of a project that is budgeted at 110.000 euros and involves the widening of sidewalks, renewal of street lighting, the reorganization of parking and the replacement of existing trees by others at the request of the neighbors.

Earlier this week, the mayor, José ChulviAnd the mayor of Works, Paco Torres, Oversaw the preparatory work being carried out before undertaking the work, such as improvements to the drinking water and cutting current jacarandas whose roots, height and luxuriance were causing inconvenience to owners and merchants of the Strip Customs.

While the works last, the exit road of Jaime I will be cut off to the traffic that will have to look for the street Santísimo Christ of the Sea to be able to leave the maritime nucleus.

During the visit, the two councilors also wanted to visit the works that are being carried out in the Rondar Sur municipal building. These are works to adapt the service networks of the property in order to set it up for later use, such as an administrative file, the new checkpoint for the Local Police, the Urban Planning offices and the Creama.

The work has more than two million euros cost and lead time of five months. Funding it it is given by a loan from the ICO that was requested during the last legislature.
