On the occasion of the celebration this Wednesday, November 25, the International Day Against Gender ViolenceThe Associated Center of the UNED Dénia planned the organization of various activities, through the Observatory for Equality.
Among them, the conference on "Psychological and social abuse in domestic violence", whose scenario is the Xàbia Classroom, taking place in the Public Library of the municipality.
The first one was held with a talk on Violence against women: from the theoretical and conceptual framework to lived experience, given by Gabriela Moriana, PhD from the University of Valencia. Director of the Master's Degree in Gender and Equality Policies and Professor of the Department of Social Work and Servicios Sociales University of Valencia.
The second day of this cycle of conferences took place last Saturday with the talk he gave, Dolores Martínez, Professor Tutora CA Dénia. He talked about intervention in gender violence from the third sector. Methodology and commitments. Next, Pablo Cuéllar, a graduate in Law and a Professional University Specialist in Gender Violence, addressed the "Institutional and Public Response to Domestic Violence".
The conference will conclude next Saturday, November 28, with a talk about "The psychological abuse; the violence without marks that leaves a trace", taught by Jesús Herranz, Clinical Psychologist and Associate Professor in the Department of Health Psychology at the University of Alicante.
The conference can be followed online or face modalities, getting students attending 1 free elective credit.
Musical contest
On the other hand, and also within the programming to commemorate the International Day Against Gender Violence, the Associated Center of the UNED has organized a contest "Songs against Gender Violence", With the collaboration of Radio Dénia Cadena Ser, Music in Valencià and the music festivals: Barsella Rock, Caparrarock, Poma Rock and Comboia't.
The award of this contest will be tomorrow, Tuesday, November 24, 19.30 in the Associated Center of the UNED Dénia own.
