Once again, the controversial issue about the legality of a house located in the Cala Granadella is up to date again. It is the chalet of an official of the Javea Town Hall, specifically the municipal architect.
The controversy, as already announced last October, comes from the fact that the house is located on undeveloped land with special protection. Apparently, in that place, there was a small construction, but the owner chose, a few years ago, despite the prohibition, to reform the house. He asked for a minor building permit, but it appears that the property has been expanded.
Even so, the City Council requested to do tastings in this chalet in Granadella. The company was hired but it cannot carry them out because the owner denied them entry. This has been made known in the ordinary plenary session to questions from the Popular Party.
Given this fact, as indicated by the Mayor of Xàbia, "the City Council has requested a court order so that the contracted company can enter the house and do the tastings. The file will not be paralyzed."
The tastings will determine if the property should be demolished in its entirety.
