On the occasion of the exhibition The Balenciaga century that Javea Town Hall began last July, the soprano Teresa Albero performed a concert, as a closing to this cultural cycle, in the Church of St. Bartholomew of Xàbia last Friday, September 23. The long-awaited recital was attended by hundreds of people.
The soprano provided a musical vision of the atmosphere in which designer Cristóbal Balenciaga lived. The sound of her two shores is a recital that revolves around the sea and more specifically the two seas that marked her life. On the one hand, the Basque Coast - the place where the designer was born - and on the other, the Mediterranean Sea. A sea that fascinated him and in which he spent long periods.
Teresa Albero was accompanied by the pianist Jesús María Gómez and together they performed works by Rodolfo Halffter, Sorozábal, Guridi intertwined with Levantine composers Óscar Esplá and Rodríguez Albert. A unique sound world for an exhibition that can already be considered a success by the Xàbia City Council.
