The Sub 10 team of the Municipal School Rugby Xàbia made a triumphant debut in the concentration of schools rugby held in Villajoyosa. The xabieros won all three games they played.
In the first match they measured their strength against La Vila, winning after a very close match start. The Xabieros broke the tie thanks to an essay, maintaining their advantage in the score thanks to obtaining several more trials.
The second game they played before the Elche was more complicated. Xàbia lads were almost the entire match behind on the scoreboard. The stretch they got back and win the match.
In the third and last game they faced the Akra of Alicante. The xabieros maintained control of the game and the scoreboard throughout the match. They got several trials that allowed them a comfortable win.
This team Sub 10 has been working since October, having as objectives to reach the semifinal of the Autonomous Championship promotion at school age.
The Municipal School Rugby Xàbia carrying two years in operation, aims to extend and promote among children oval ball sport. The sports council decided to create this school to meet the demands of a group of fans, parents and supporters of the sport mothers. Currently, the school maintains a team Sub 10, 8 Sub team and players juvenile and child categories. The teams train in the Camp MesquidesMondays and Fridays. Young people interested in joining the school may formalize their registration there.
