David Ferrer giving a setback

The first round was not good, as both players made excessive errors. It was a lot of intermittency in the game, since neither of the two players were powerful with their service. Ferrer lost the first game of the match and then between the fourth and seventh each of the players broke his opponent's serve twice.

Simon double-faulted in the tenth game that came very well to Jávea tennis player because it equalized five games, the set. Ferrer managed to win his serve in the next game and the Frenchman kept his and forced the tiebreaker. The Javea played very strongly the following balls and won the set.

In the second set it was much easier to improve David Ferrer percentage of first serves. He barely made unforced errors and hit winners manage to connect 17. The Frenchman was diluted in the game and ended the set sunk. This second set was clearly dominated by Ferrer.

The next step for the Javiense is to face the current world number one, Djokovic who beat his match against Dolgopolov.
