The xabiero club is the entity with the most young sailors awarded scholarships by this totally private capital program promoted by Juan Roig through the Trinidad Alfonso Foundation.
These athletes are joined by another xabiero, Siro Piña, An athlete who has recently joined the discipline of FC Barcelona.
The ERF project, promoted by Juan Roig through Trinidad Alfonso Foundation with an investment of 1.000.000 euros, has this year with a total of 115 athletes, 13 more than in the third edition and 98 more than when started in 2013.
The three categories that were implemented since the origin of the initiative are maintained: "Elite","In power"And"Nursery"From there, there are several differences. The first group includes 35 athletes of the highest international level this year. They will receive a support of 15.000 euros. Among these is the xabiero, Rafael Andarias.
The category "In power"Consists 20 components, all athletes who have already achieved success on the national scene and starting to emerge outside our borders. The economic value of the scholarship amounts to 7.500 euros.

The ERF project was created to support the athletes of Valencia, to achieve better results in national and international comxicotetions, and make the Valencia have a place in the world rankings and Olympic and Paralympic Games.
During the celebration of presentation of FER 2016, the President of the Trinidad Alfonso Foundation, Juan Roig, he has announced a series of special prizes for those athletes who achieve medal or diploma at the Olympic and Paralympic Games Rio 2016.
