In the ordinary plenary session of the month of March, the first of the year held in person in the plenary hall of the
Javea Town Hall, the spokesperson for C's Xàbia, Enrique Escrivá, has urged the Department of Sports to create a line of aid for those clubs and sports entities that "They contribute to making women's sport visible in Xàbia and they are day by day supporting our local athletes."
The mayor has underlined the campaign of visibility of sportswomen undertaken by the Sports department during the month of March, on the occasion of International Women's Day. An action that in Escrivá's opinion
"Should not stay there", for which he has proposed to go one step further with the creation of this aid program, “In order to continue giving prominence to sportswomen and consolidate gender equality through sport”.
An economic support, "With which to recognize and promote the work and commitment carried out by Xabia clubs and entities that have been betting on women's sport, and that are the backbone of the reality of sport in the day-to-day life of Xàbia".
As pointed out by the Cs spokesperson, some requirements that could be taken into account when giving these grants, could be the time that the entities have been competing with a women's team, or the activities to promote women's sport that each entity organizes in collaboration with the different administrations.
