Triathlete, Cristina Roselló, debuted with good foot in the Spanish Long Distance Triathlon Championship which was held on the island of Ibiza. The Xabiera had a great performance when finishing the test in the fifth place. Its total time was 7: 25.28 after completing the three segments.
In the first segment of the swim the participants took two turns to a circuit of 2 kilometers, in total they swam 4 kilometers. Cristina Roselló left in the top ten of the water with a time of 1: 10.52. His sensations were very good in the face of what lay ahead.
In the segment of bicycle had to be used in depth as it completed a path of two laps to a hard circuit, Rompepiernas of 60 kilometers. They were a total of 120 kilometers where Roselló preferred to take things slowly, conservatively. He finished in eighth place before facing the last segment of the test.
They had to withstand a torrential rain
In the foot race segment, during the first round of 10 kilometers was very comfortable, even getting to enjoy the ascent to the castle and the return by Ibiza. He managed to recover two positions. In the second round appeared a rain that fell of torrential form during great part of the route.
With the puddles and above all, the cobbles of the ascent to the castle that slipped, things became complicated for Cristina Roselló. Despite this he managed to overtake another rival.
The last 10 kilometers that completed the 30 of race on foot were hard, accumulated the fatigue and the rain but his strong mentality allowed him to finish the race in a magnificent fifth position.
When getting this place, the athlete of Xàbia, was very satisfied since taking into account the level that there were of participants is something that she did not wait for herself. Roselló thanks his partner, Angel Blasco, for his encouragement and support at all times. To his parents, Ricardo and Estrella gives them this fifth place demonstrating that he is prepared to be able to do it. The winner of the test was Anna Noguera with a total time of 6: 52.23, followed by Maria Pujol that finished with a record of 7: 04.56 and the podium was completed with the third place of Helene Alberdi that ended with a mark of 7: 08.24.
