The Consortium for the Economic Recovery and Activity of the Marina Alta (Creama), held its first general meeting of the year in Xàbia. At the meeting of the permanent commission, the Mayor of Xàbia, José ChulviAnd mayors and councilors of municipalities consortium as Denia, Gata de Gorgos, Pego, Pedreguer, Benissa, Teulada or Calpe.
The manager Creama, Rosario Donderis, presented the activity report of 2015, a document summarizing the activity throughout the year and the initiatives taken in both the Local Development Agencies as the treasury of the General Services regional character.
The 2015 summary highlighted several important milestones for the consortium. On the one hand, the celebration of the 20 anniversary of the entity, which means two decades of work for the region through a project that remains in force. It was also a year in which the previous manager, Dolores Orihuel, retired.
Creama maintained over 2015 the central idea of working for the sustainability of the Consortium, achieving financial stability and economic and financial normality. It also approved an amendment to statutes already minimal and short-term raises more fundamental to adapt to the new legislative framework that directly affects the functioning of the Consortia.
At economic level, from Creama has been detected in 2015 there has been an improvement in data in various areas of the consortium. The manager stressed that "which indicates that there is an improvement in general terms, although in certain sectors and groups persist situations of precariousness and exclusion that drive us to seek solutions. We must work to make the Marina Alta a more cohesive territorially and socially sustainable region, making people the center of all our objectives".
Donderis explained, memory management is a "source essential to know the socioeconomic data of our region, as reflected in a comprehensive way information activity from two different perspectives: the local vision necessary to directly support citizens acting in the short term, and the regional vision, proposes broader action and tends to encourage medium-term solutions". It also serves to assess the degree of involvement of employees of the Consortium and is "a true photograph of the reality that we find in the activities of Creama, since these are adapted and modified according to the specific needs of the market at every moment and the opportunities that are detected".
