The Jávea Yacht Club will pay homage to the Luján brothers, World Champions of the 4.20 Class

El Club Náutico Jávea This Saturday 13 will pay a warm tribute to the sailors Enrique and Pablo Luján who have been proclaimed World Sailing Champions in the 420 Class.

The Luján brothers have been training for some years in the Jávea Yacht Club and have completed a season full of successes in 2017, in which it has been their last season competing together in the category.

As a culmination to this year, the Jávea Yacht Club wants to show the affection of the entire Xàbia sailing family, and of all the partners, friends of the sea and neighbors in general towards these two young people who proudly carry the name of Xàbia in all corners of the world.

Reception in the club's social lounges

The event will consist of a reception in the club's social rooms, which will be open to all attendees, on Saturday at 12 at noon, and will be attended by the club's board of directors, as well as local authorities.

The world championship achieved by the Luján brothers, together with the other championships that the sailors of the sailing section of the Javea Yacht Club have achieved, highlight the year after year effort of the club in the sporting section.

With equipment in most of the categories of sailing, the Jávea Nautical has started an exciting project of technification of the hand of the Sailing Federation of the Region and the Real Club Náutico de Torrevieja so that Enrique Luján and Antonio Torres can reach the Olympics competing in the 49er class.

From the Jávea Nautical Club, its board of directors is absolutely convinced of the importance of the sports sailing section, as well as the sailing school that will produce the sailing champions of the future.
