Five Optimist sailors from the Jávea Yacht Club among the top 100 of the Torrevieja Optimist Trophy

The sailors of the Optimist fleet of the Club Náutico Jávea They demonstrated their great worth and potential in the last sporting event, held in Torrevieja. Five of the seven participants placed in the top 100, and two of them were in the top 30, out of a total number of sailors that exceeded 400.

The sailors were in crescendo during the four days of comxicotetion and in fact, five got into the Gold group, which groups the best of the entire comxicotetion. They were Mateo Carbonell, Raúl Martínez, Carlota Gómez, Begoña Pérez Manglano and Arthur Baker.

Mateo Carbonell was the best of all, since he was 18th overall, (15th in the sub16 classification, also in five sleeves he slipped into the top ten.

Raúl Martínez was 28th overall (23rd in the sub16 classification), with a sleeve that was the third best.

Carlota Gómez 62 and Begoña Pérez-Manglano was 65 overall, but second in the U13 girls' classification.

In addition, Arthur Baker was 100 (fourth in sub13 boys); Liam Woods 113 and Elena Pérez-Manglano ranked 224 overall.

The team will rest these days, for their next participation in the regional calendar that will be the Optiorange organized by the Real Club Náutico de Valencia, all aimed at preparing for the Spanish Championship.

Some appointments for which the optimist fleet is managing the support of various collaborating companies that will allow the group of sailors in this category to continue growing and improving their results every day, participating in national and international events.
