Xàbia's cultural programming arrives this 2023 loaded with great performances. Within the cycle 'Els Colors de la Música' there will be seven interesting events among which stand out: the Choir of the Generalitat, a tribute to Luciano Pavarotti and the educational concert by Hevia.

Specifically, the programming schedule for this musical cycle in which admission is completely free, and will take place every Friday at the Church of St. Bartholomew at 21:00 p.m., except for the Hevia concert, is as follows:

  • January 13: Didactic concert by the brothers María José and José Ángel Hevia (master piper), referents of traditional Asturian music. The performance, entitled 'The Conference', will be at 20:00 p.m. in the Portal el Clot Multipurpose Hall and will offer a great repertoire, accompanied by projections, which will allow the public to be transported to the landscapes and festivals of Asturias.
  • January 27: Concert by the local chamber music group, Marinae Ensemble. Classical music comes from the hand of this young group of musicians from the region directed by the xabiero Sergio Camarasa. The concert will offer a repertoire of pieces from the XNUMXth century.
  • February 10: La Finesse Trio. This group proposes a chamber music repertoire with romantic airs, full of finesse, delicacy and passion with works for trio by Beethoven, Brahms and Zemlinsky. La Finesse Trio It is made up of musicians who perform in the best venues in Europe such as Paris, London and Vienna, such as Christophe Morin (cello), Juanlu Puelles (clarinet) and Julien Gernay (piano).
  • February 24: Organic Ars. the grand tour. The Ars Orgànica chamber quartet, made up of Alba Fernández (voice), Javier Carrau (baroque violin), Ignasi Jordà (harpsichord) and Perfecto Osca (violone), will offer a concert that recreates the music heard by the students performing the 'Grand Tour' through cities like Paris, Turin, Milan, Venice, southern Italy.

    A trip that became fashionable at the end of the XNUMXth century among the sons and daughters of the European aristocracy, who were sent to other countries of the old continent with the aim of enriching themselves culturally and socially before entering adulthood.

  • 10 March: Concert by the Generalitat Choir that will perform the concert '17 women's voices around March 8'. The Cor de la Generalitat, under the baton of Jordi Blanch, with the voices of the women in the choir and the pianist Francisco Hervás, will provide their musicality with works by Hildegarda von Bingen, Clara Wieck, Ethel Smyth, Alfonsina Storni, Concha Méndez, Matilde Salvador, Eleanor Daley, Mia Makaroff, Eva Ugalde, Cynthia Yih Shih (Vienna Teng), Jocelyn Hayan, Elaine Hagenberg, and Sarah Quartel.
  • 25 March: Ensemble Casa Mediterráneo.
  • Abril 29: Tribute to Luciano Pavarotti performed by his granddaughter, the soprano Simona Todaro Pavarotti.
