Good experience for the Xabia's Bike-Fasterwear guys in the 'Spanish MTB Championship'

This weekend has been held in Moralzarzal (Madrid), the most important appointment of the national MTB-XCO, the Championship that would entail the shirt of champion and champion of Spain in the different categories, where the runners Adelino Moll, Dani Cepa and Tomás Miralles, of the team Xabia's Bike-Fastewear were selected to represent the Valencian Community.

The Moralzarzal Cycling Club prepared a route of three and a half kilometers, with one hundred and eighty meters of positive height difference. The weekend was marked by heat and the layout presented a dry and earthy terrain, very demanding and of medium technical level counting on an environment biker exceptional.

Saturday morning was the turn of the Masters, where Dani Cepa and Àlex Seguí took the start at 9 hours. Dani did not find his best pedal stroke, but still finished in ninth position, while Àlex suffered a fall that forced him to retreat due to severe pain in the ribs.

Around noon on Saturday, Tomás Miralles competed in the Sub23 category. After shooting very close to the top10, with two laps to go, Tomás suffered a fall having to leave. Luckily, both Àlex and Tomás are in good condition, being only wounds of sheet and paint.

Sunday was the time of the queen category that began at 12: 45 hours, with Adelino and Moll Saor in the grill. Adelino scored a great performance fighting at all times for the top 10 with high level runners. He finished in the 14ª position, while his brother Saoro, was able to maintain a constant pace throughout the course, entering the finish line in the 23º position.

With this test, this team will say goodbye to the comxicotetion until September where it will start with the second part of the season, changing to the modality of MTB marathon, competing on the 2 day for the Spanish Championship in Logrosán (Cáceres).
